Act and/or React

If you share the thought that a lot of things happening in the society are not right and they need change let us think:

Main reason for the alarming growth of Evil is not because of evil doers; It is because of those who do not react ( oppose) evil acts. The silence of the “self presumed” good, innocent , which each of us think we are,is the main cause for the growth of evil. Growth of evil blocks peace. So it is very important that we React against evil.

If you think that you CAN’T do anything just strike out “‘T”. You CAN DO

Good is incomplete if it doesn’t raise voice against evil.
Our struggle against evil and the march to Peace can start right now, and the venue is right within ourselves.

At that point you are a member of POEM family, A family of human family marching in the path of peace
You may decide to expand your activities through participation and membership of POEM , sharing your experience , activities and thoughts; and putting forward your suggestions and advices.OR you may chose to work on your own by organizing POEM in your groups and communities:Even simpler, start communication to ‘yourself’. The simple step of observation of yourself, leading to listening and communicating with yourself will be the big leap towards peace

* Engage in a Swobodha movement: This results in personal growth through self awareness. “Swobodha” means self awareness. When you are tempted by uncontrolled emotions to evil thoughts and acts REACT and tame them:

Simple things first- when you feel like smoking or drinking alcohol think and ask yourself can you avoid it; If you are not able to fully stop, can you delay the next puff for a few more hors? at least a few more minutes? count those minutes and increase it by five more minutes tomorrow. Do the same in the case of drinking. Do this way for 27 days and see the result.
Before jumping on your wife try to understand her point. Before scolding your child for getting 98 instead of 100 congratulate him for the above average performance:

If you almost hate your partner or are on the verge of divorce, write at least one good thing you like about your life partner today; start from the time you knew him /her May be his/her nose; long hair/ mustache , smile, a favorite dish made for you , a loving gift brought on birthday, a comforting word told when you were sick similar simple things . Tomorrow write about two good things, next day four and so on for 27 days.Simple things matters
Will these actions lead to Peace in your family?; Do it. Then Wait and see. 27 days is a small time in your life but can turn your life around. Most of you may see result in as little as 9 days.
