Peace on earth message came to the world many many centuries ago. But peace remains a distant dream. Practicing peace in day to day life is the best way to communicate peace. POEM”s role is to help this process. By understanding peace and practicing it we can become missionaries of peace. We can become the change we want to happen as Gandhi did. This website intent to become a forum for mutual communication and help to practice and promote peace.
It is also important to convince communication world such as media, social network, movie world, especially those targeting children and youth to retune promote peace. If they accept Peace as a goal to be achieved and take up a mission of their organization Peace will not remain a distant dream. With all the recent extra ordinary advances in the science and technology for communication, propagating Peace can happen with extraordinary speed.
Children’s cartoons, and movies, scripts and stories can help promote peace instead of violence. May sound utopian first, but it would be surprising to realize that peace themes will ‘sell’ better to children and youth than violence.
